The Sacramento Section of ASQ is committed to advance both individual and organizational performance excellence throughout the Sacramento Valley by providing opportunities for learning, enlightened knowledge exchange and professional growth for its membership.
Message from the Region 6 Director
ASQ has done a lot in the past year to improve communication and information access. The ASQ Web Site has a new look with a great deal more information, and Section 605 has posted their own site, joining the many other sections with excellent sites. Information has never been more available to members.
Region 6 has made a major change this year with the Deputy Regional Directors (DRDs). They are now functional as opposed to geographic. Each DRD has a project directly related to improving the products and services you enjoy or supporting section leader volunteers. Functions are Chair support, Training and Education, Metrics, SMP, Financial, Certification, AQP, Koalaty Kid, Web Master, and Conference. Most of these positions are filled and contact information will be coming to the sections soon.
Message from the 2009-2010 Chair
As our ASQ Section 605 local Board begins to assemble and prepare for an exciting new year, we know our biggest challenge is being able to successfully provide you, our customers, with the tools, skills, networking opportunities and overall support in your pursuit of quality. Whether you are an independent consultant, a Quality professional working for a small company, on staff at a large public or private corporation, just graduated from college and beginning your Quality career, or currently a student of Quality, we want to be the best resource possible. We look to you to continue to provide us feedback as we move through the year, especially in these very challenging economic times. Our recent 2009 Member Survey provided us with information that we can use to both improve our existing resources and services, and create new resources and services to keep up with ever changing technology and best practices in our industry. We want to be a Quality-focused organization and hope to serve you, our customers, well. Please feel free to contact me or any of the Board members if we can help. Here’s to a Quality 2009-2010 Year!
